The Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Team showed encouraging pace during the Brembo Grand Prix of Italy Friday. Making the most of the dry conditions in the afternoon session, Álex Rins delivered a strong comeback performance to secure P9 and a direct entry into Q2. Following a crash in the Practice, teammate Fabio Quartararo finished in P17 and will have to go through Q1 tomorrow.

Rins made an impressive recovery after ending FP1 in P20. In the warm and sunny afternoon conditions, he quickly found his rhythm and showed strong speed throughout the session. Featuring inside the top 10 early on, he managed to defend his position during the final time attack. His 1'45.149s, set on lap 15/18, secured him ninth place and marks the second time this season he progresses directly into Q2.

Quartararo finished FP1 in P19: early signs were pointing to a challenging Friday. His afternoon was further disrupted by a hard crash in Turn 4 which brought out a brief red flag for track clean-up. Despite the setback, he was able to return to the session and post a best lap of 1'45.670s on lap 18/19 to place 17th in the Practice classification.

Track action resumes on Saturday at 10:10–10:40 (GMT+2) for FP2, with the qualifying sessions taking place from 10:50–11:30 and the 11-lap Sprint starting at 15:00.

"On the first laps of the Practice I said: 'Let's see what I can do'. I was pushing like hell, eyes wide open, like a time attack. I was quite surprised about the lap time. I gave my feedback in the box, and we tried to improve the cornering a bit. I didn't have a proper slipstream in the time attack, but I was quite on the limit in every corner. I was able to jump into Q2, which I'm happy about, but in a race it gets tougher. Let's see what we can do tomorrow."

"The feeling with the bike was not great today. I was pushing the front a bit and crashed. Also in the last two laps, I tried to do my best, but I was not fast enough, while riding completely on the limit. The last two races I was feeling really good on the front, but not here, and we need to understand why that is."
