If Friday
was hot, Saturday turned up the heat even more at the Mugello Circuit. During
Moto2 qualifying, the scorching asphalt severely affected the performance of
the Boscoscuro bikes, known for their high sensitivity to temperature changes.
While on Friday six Boscoscuros were in the top ten during Practice, that
number dropped to just two by the end of qualifying — one of them ridden by
Arbolino.
The Italian was the best of the two BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha riders
after a chaotic Q2, disrupted by multiple crashes and yellow flags in the
closing stages. Guevara, also unable to find a clean lap at the end, settled
for 13th. Despite their grid positions, both riders have shown solid pace
throughout the weekend and feel confident around the ups and downs of Mugello.
With the right adjustments in the garage tonight, they could be serious
contenders for the front group tomorrow. Crew chiefs Luca Capocchiano (Arbolino)
and Sergi Borrull Mulero (Guevara) will play a key role in fine-tuning the
setup to allow for consistent tyre performance — the likely key to success in
Round 9 of the Moto2 World Championship.
