As the Moto2 World Championship approaches its halfway mark, the Sachsenring hosts round eleven of the season. The BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha team arrives in Germany after completing two important days of testing in Brno, a circuit set to return to the calendar next week after a four-year absence.
Following a Dutch GP that fell short of expectations — especially considering the promising race pace shown during practice sessions — Guevara and Arbolino made the most of the Brno tests, working closely with their crews to find a better balance on their Boscoscuro machines. Throughout the season, the Boscoscuro bikes have shown to be quite sensitive to changing weather conditions, with performance fluctuating significantly depending on the temperatures. The Sachsenring is a unique track where maintaining flow through the long, predominantly left-hand corners (10 of the 13 turns go left) is key. Overtaking opportunities are limited, mainly coming at Turn 1 and in the final two corners.
This is a circuit that holds good memories for Izan Guevara, who in 2022 secured one of his seven victories that season on his way to clinching the Moto3 World Championship title. Tony Arbolino also has fond memories here, having stepped onto the podium two years ago after starting from the front row and finishing behind eventual Moto2 World Champion Pedro Acosta.
After a DNF at Assen due to a crash on the second lap, Guevara remains 15th in the standings with 37 points, while Arbolino sits 17th with 34 points. The BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha team is currently 10th in the team standings with a total of 71 points.
German GP Schedule: Friday: 9.50 Free Practice 1, 14.:05 Practice Saturday: 9.25 Free Practice 2, 13.45 Qualifying Sunday: 12.15 Race (25 laps – 91,78 km)
