Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP's Fabio Quartararo and Álex Rins make their way to the Automotodrom Brno for Round 9 of the MotoGP World Championship. The Grand Prix of Czechia is iconic for MotoGP riders and motorcycle fans, and this year's event being sponsored by Monster Energy gives the teammates an extra impetus to put on a good show.

Quartararo arrives in Brno holding 15th place in the championship standings. He is hoping to get an upward trajectory going and score some solid points this weekend. The Frenchman rode three times before at the Czech track in the premier class: in 2019 and 2020, scoring seventh place in both races, and in 2025 when he secured fifth place in the Sprint and sixth place in the Race.

Rins is looking forward to returning to the Czechia round, which is beloved by many MotoGP riders. After a tough Hungarian GP outing, the Spaniard is currently in 19th place in the MotoGP classification. The number 42 stood on the Brno Moto2 podium in 2015 for a third place and in 2016 for a second place. His best MotoGP scores there are the fourth places he achieved in 2019 and 2020.

Brno has hosted motorcycle racing since 1930, when riders tackled a 29 km road circuit through the city and surrounding villages. The Czech GP first took place in 1950 and joined the World Championship from 1965 to 1982 before a circuit opened later in the 1980s. The modern Brno track debuted in 1987 and quickly became a fan favourite thanks to its atmosphere and setting. After a break from 2021 to 2024, Brno returned to the calendar last year, bringing its rich racing heritage back to MotoGP.

"We're going to Brno after a one-week break following two challenging race weekends at Mugello and Balaton Park. It hasn't been an easy period, but the team has kept working hard to understand where we can improve. Now we begin an important sequence with Brno and Assen coming back-to-back, followed by the German GP before the summer break. This final stretch is key, and we are fully focused on making a strong push and collecting as much information as possible."

"The last two rounds were quite tricky for us, so it was good to have a short break to reset. Now we're heading into a busy period again with a double-header and one more race before the summer break. Of course, we will work hard, like we always do. Brno is a track I like, and I'm motivated to get back to fighting for better positions."

"Mugello and Balaton Park were not easy weekends, but we had a few days to recharge and refocus. Now we start a crucial part of the season with Brno and Assen and then the Sachsenring before the summer break. The goal is clear: we want to finish this first part of the season on a stronger note. We'll work hard from the first session there to be as competitive as possible."
