Buriram (Thailand), 1st March 2026
BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2's Izan Guevara had been strong all weekend and made good on his promising pace by securing P2 in today's Grand Prix of Thailand Moto2 Race 3, a second-consecutive podium result following his win at the 2025 Valencia GP. Alberto Ferrández was excited to complete his first race day with the team. It was a good introduction to the always exciting Moto2 class. He completed the learning experience in P15, securing his first championship point on his debut with the team.

With the original race red flagged before 2/3 of the race distance was completed, Race 2 would count 11 laps. The grid positions were based on standings as of lap 3 in Race 1. However, Race 2 was also red flagged due to an incident at Turn 3 on the first lap. The following Race 3 was shortened to 7 laps while the grid positions remained the same as for Race 2.

Guevara had originally qualified in P2 but would commence the Moto2 Race restarts from P3 on the grid. The Spaniard kept his cool and led for the majority of the race until a battle with Manuel Gonzalez on the final laps. He put up a fight all the way to the finish line and finished in P2, just 0.099s behind the winner.

Rookie Ferrández accidentally benefitted from the restart and slotted into P13 for Race 3 while his original starting position had been P26. He had a strong start and climbed as high as P11 on the opening lap. After some extensive battling in the 7-lap dash, he took the chequered flag in P15, 9.776s from first.

Today's race results put Guevara in 2nd place in the championship standings with 20 points. Ferrández is in 15th place with 1 point. The BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 Team are now in 2nd position in the team classifications, with 21 points.

The team will enjoy two weeks off before travelling to Brazil for Round 2, held at the Autódromo Internacional de Goiânia – Ayrton Senna from 20-22 March.
