Yamaha Motor Racing Joins Motor Valley University of Emilia-Romagna

Yamaha Motor Racing are delighted to confirm
its official partnership with the Motor Valley University of Emilia-Romagna
(MUNER), a strategic development that underscores Yamaha's ongoing
dedication to fostering innovation, education, and meaningful engagement with
future generations of engineering professionals. This new alliance places
Yamaha Motor Racing among a distinguished circle of companies recognised by the
founding institutions of the Associazione Motor Valley, the global hub of automotive
innovation.
The Motor Valley University of
Emilia-Romagna (MUNER), formerly known as the Motorvehicle University of
Emilia-Romagna, is a prestigious academic-industrial network brought together by
four leading Italian universities and the most iconic automotive brands rooted
in the Motor Valley. Supported by the Emilia-Romagna Regional Government, MUNER
is a hub of excellence in automotive engineering education, designed to foster
collaboration between industry and academia and to prepare students for careers
in advanced mobility and motorsports.
Yamaha Motor Racing's inclusion in MUNER
opens the door to a wide range of collaborative opportunities. Through this
partnership, Yamaha will engage with a pool of approximately 170 students per
year, offering them access to real-world experiences and insights from one of the
most prestigious teams in MotoGP. The collaboration will allow Yamaha to
participate in training projects and workshops, host seminars at its
facilities, and organise company visits for students. Starting from the second
semester of their second year, students will be eligible for internships, which
Yamaha will make available through MUNER's dedicated matching platform.
Furthermore, Yamaha experts will have the opportunity to contribute directly to
the academic environment by lecturing on specialised topics and potentially
joining the teaching staff.
This collaboration is a source of great pride for Yamaha. Being
one of the few non-Emilia-Romagna-based companies to join MUNER underscores the
recognition of Yamaha's commitment to excellence, innovation, and education. It
also reflects the shared values between Yamaha and MUNER: a dedication to
nurturing talent, advancing technology, and building bridges between academic
learning and industrial practice.

Andrea Pontremoli
President, MUNER
"We are honoured to welcome Yamaha Motor Racing into the MUNER network. This partnership strengthens our commitment to connecting academic excellence with industrial innovation and confirms the global appeal of the Motor Valley ecosystem.
"Yamaha's expertise in motorsport engineering and its dedication to innovation will offer our students unique learning opportunities, inspiring the next generation of engineers who will shape the future of mobility.”

"In recent years, the unique ecosystem based on companies, suppliers, customers, partners, and educational institutions has been growing in what is known as the Italian Motor Valley, becoming a global centre of excellence. This is why our presence in Italy, which has of course a long history, has evolved with a stronger focus on R&D activities, initially on production models and more recently around Motorsport.
"With this in mind, joining MUNER is a strategic step for us: we are proud to contribute to a network that values excellence, hands-on learning, and the power of collaboration between academia and industry. This partnership allows us to share our passion and expertise with students who are eager to make a difference, while also embracing their fresh perspectives and energy. We see this as a two-way exchange: a chance to inspire and be inspired.
"While we enter in this partnership via the company that represents the pinnacle, I am sure it will generate great synergies within the whole Yamaha Campus. Yamaha Motor Racing is one of the four Yamaha companies located within the Yamaha Campus in Gerno di Lesmo, a unique environment where Yamaha's diverse spirits – Racing, Engineering & Design, Distribution and Music – come together, and more than 100 engineers work on motorsport and production projects. The partnership with MUNER aligns seamlessly with Yamaha's broader mission to foster creativity, sustainability, and collaboration across disciplines, and will open opportunities for young talented engineers."
