Misano Adriatico (Italy), 13th September 2025
The Yamaha Factory Racing Team used the Grand Prix of San Marino Saturday to collect further race-weekend setting data for the V4-Powered Prototype. Augusto Fernández was riding competitively in the opening lap of the Sprint and ended the 13-lap dash in P18.

Augusto Fernández commenced from P21. He battled Maverick Viñales and briefly held 20th position before closing the first lap in 21st place. While he lost touch with the riders ahead, he focused his full attention on keeping Somkiat Chantra at bay. The Spaniard succeeded, and due to the misfortunes of other riders, the Yamaha test rider finished in 18th place, 27.893s from the winner.

The Yamaha Factory Racing Team will be back in action tomorrow for Warm Up, held from 09:40-09:50 (GMT+2), and the 27-lap Race, which starts at 14:00.

"We are working on finding the right balance of the bike. In the end, it's a new prototype, so the data of the M1 don't apply to the V4-powered bike, and we need to keep an open mind and go over all the numbers. We took yesterday afternoon as a base, and wanted to build onto it, but made a little change today and I was slower, so we need to find something, especially for the front, which is very important in Misano. I also had some vibrations during the Sprint. This is something that needs to be analysed well because this is the first time I experienced these vibrations on this bike."
